Dave's World

This is me at the Mainz airport relaxing at the Bi-annual air show. That’s my airplane, a Varieze built in 1981. Her name is Gretel, I named her after my mother in law. That’s right my mother in law. She was a fantastic person, and we all miss her.

Aircraft Data:

Type: Varieze / Experimental Rutan Aircraft Company U.S.A.
Built by: Floyd Foster / 1981 (Shasta California)

Engine: Continental O-200 Electronic-Ignition / High Compression Cylinder Approx. 110 HP

Never Exceed: 191 kts / 220 mph / 353 kmh
Cruise @ 75% 7500ft.: 160 kts / 184 mph / 296 kmh
Stall Speed: 34 kts / 51 mph / 63 kmh

This is one nice flying airplane, and I wish to express my admiration for Burt Rutan who has done so much for aviation.
